Abstract
Katrin Maiwald gibt Einblick in ihr Chorprojekt No sound of silence, das sie seit Oktober 2023 am Theater der jungen Welt in Leipzig zusammen mit Matthias Queck als musikalischem Chorleiter, Lisa Reipschläger als Dozentin für Ableismus, Inklusion und Gesellschaft und Elisa Hensen als Assistenz leitet. Im Chorprojekt teilnehmen können Menschen ab 16 Jahren, begleitet werden die Proben von Gebärdensprachdolmetscherinnen. Annika Jakobs und Christina Klein vom Büro für Teilhabe und Inklusion am TDJW unterstützen den Chor organisatorisch sowie inhaltlich als critical friends. Die Kommunikation im Chor findet in deutscher Lautsprache, Deutscher Gebärdensprache (DGS), einfacher und leichter Sprache sowie über Symbole, Bilder und (sprachbegleitende) Gesten statt. In ihrem Text reflektiert Katrin Maiwald den partizipativen Prozess, in dem eine vielsinnliche Komposition als für alle Mitglieder passende Chorformation mit machtkritischer musikalischer Praxis entwickelt wird.
Katrin Maiwald gives an insight into her choral project No sound of silence, which she has been leading since October 2023 at the Theater der jungen Welt in Leipzig together with Matthias Queck as musical choir director, Lisa Reipschläger as lecturer for ableism, inclusion and society and Elisa Hensen as assistant. People aged 16 and over can participate in the choir project, and the rehearsals are accompanied by sign language interpreters. Annika Jakobs and Christina Klein from the Office for Participation and Inclusion at the TDJW support the choir organizationally and in terms of content as critical friends. Communication in the choir takes place in German spoken language, German Sign Language (DGS), simple and easy language, as well as via symbols, images and (language-accompanying) gestures. In her text, Katrin Maiwald reflects on the participatory process in which a multi-sensory composition develops as a choral formation suitable for all members with a musical practice critical of power.
